Fabletics VIP Membership Subscription Review – September 2017

New month, new cute workout clothes! See what I got in my latest Fabletics VIP subscription box!

Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson. You can shop Fabletics in two ways—you can shop the regular store, or you can sign up for their VIP membership. VIP memberships work like this:

  • Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
  • Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $19.00 for new members. (I’m not sure if “new members” refers to just your first order, though.)
  • Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you’d get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you’ll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.

The key takeaway here is that this subscription won’t automatically send you monthly packages like other services do. You have to hop into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

Here’s my invoice for this month. It’s great to know that if something doesn’t fit (or just doesn’t fit the bill), I can always return it.

Roxanna Outfit – VIP Price $49.95 (Retail Price $114.90)

Here’s the outfit I picked this month. September was a very good month for awesome Anna options on Fabletics—lots of pretty rose pinks, really cool mesh details, and metallic gold everywhere. But ugh, once again, the majority of the looks I fell in love with also happened to be the more expensive looks. By more expensive, I mean $59.95, $69.95… even $89.95. I’ve been really happy with the quality of Fabletics so far, and I’m sure the extra cost is worth it. But when I’m already putting aside $49.95 each month for workout clothes, I feel kinda meh about having to put down even more money to get something fun. Of course, there are a few $49.95 looks in the mix, but they’re usually a bit more basic. Basic is practical and still super cute, but sometimes it’s hard to settle for a $49.95 look when there are so many (literally) shiny objects on the table.

Okay, I’m done venting! Let’s talk about this top first. I love the color olive, especially in the fall. I think it picks up on something in my skin tone—it’s almost always a flattering shade. This one had a cool, stone-gray note to it, which I really liked.

The fabric content is 96% Tencel/4% Elastane, which results in a soft, stretchy fabric that’s opaque and sturdy but still effortlessly comfortable to wear. It’s the kind of thing I can wear to a workout class (I’ve got a new boot camp class I’ve been going to in the park on Sunday mornings) or throw on with jeans for an afternoon coffee date.

These leggings are called the Powerform Dhyana Legging. The site lists the content as “81% Nylon/19% Elastane / 82% Polyester/18% Elastane” which seems a little odd… I guess they vary the “ingredients” from run to run?

Anyway, these mid-rise, full-length leggings have a thinner, bathing-suit-fabric feel to them. They’re smooth and tight with a very slight sheen. They’re nice leggings, but I’ve been so spoiled by some of the leggings I’ve gotten from Fabletics in the past that I’m sort of underwhelmed by these guys. They remind me of last month’s pair, which was similarly on the thin side. The Salar leggings, which are one of the styles Fabletics is known for, I think, are made of heavier fabric that feels sturdy, but not stuffy. They also have a thick waistband that stays in place through all my vinyasa’s twists and turns. These leggings are thinner, and while they share the wide waistband, it doesn’t feel as stable. I think that they’re cut so that the very top edge of the waistband is slightly narrower, so they still grip my waist, but they don’t feel as awesome (at least on my bigger hips) than other legging styles I’ve tried.

Verdict: I love Fabletics, though I do wish there were some flashier options available at the $49.95 “entry level” price. $49.95 is a good deal for two pieces high-quality workout gear, but it’s still a significant chunk of money. I want to make sure I’m spending it on truly unique pieces I can’t find elsewhere. That said, the pieces I’ve gotten so far are all comfy and fit surprisingly well. They also hold up beautifully workout after workout (and wash after wash). I definitely have my favorite pieces, and I’m learning what style names to look for when I shop each month. This month’s leggings weren’t amazing, but they’re still great, and I’m sure I’ll get loads of use out of them. And every time I wear a Fabletics outfit to the yoga studio or a class, I always feel like I’m part of the cool, fashionable fitness crew, y’know?

Have you tried Fabletics? Do you have favorite styles you always return to?

For whatever reason, this month didn’t include an invoice like the previous month’s order.

Helena Tank in Black, Size 3x – Retail $39.95; VIP Member Cost $24.95

Savina Leggings in Black, Size 3x – Retail $79.95; VIP Member Cost $49.95

This month, I opted to get mix and match pieces rather than a preconceived set. I wanted to get an all-black set this time for the versatility since I could wear the pieces separately and even pair with my workout ensemble from last month’s review.

Helena Tank in Black, Size 3x – Retail $39.95; VIP Member Cost $24.95

I decided for this month’s selection that I wanted a longer top than the sports bra I selected last month. When I saw the flattering sweetheart neckline detail, I was hook, line, and sinker for this top. The length is a bit long, but ideal for working out since I won’t have to be concerned about it rolling up. The fabric has fantastic stretch as well. You won’t have to worry about tugging down on this top at the gym. The mesh is a really sporty and edgy detail that nicely complements the romantic sweetheart neckline. This top is cute enough that I would even wear it outside of the gym on errands.

Savina Leggings in Black, Size 3x – Retail $79.95; VIP Member Cost $49.95

I was eyeing up mesh detailed leggings at first, but when I saw this pair I had to have them! Why do you ask? They remind me of something Peg Bundy would wear to the gym if she was able to be pried from her day of scarfing up bon bons on her couch for a cardio session. I would wear these to the gym and probably out and about–they are that adorable. The material is thick, stretchy, and very flattering in how it hugs your body. The waist is high too, which I prefer for my workout gear and streetwear alike. Your back end will be well hidden in these leggings for sure; no constant pulling up will be necessary. These leggings are ace!

Verdict: I am loving Fabletics! I saved $45 with my VIP membership for these two pieces— which is pretty fantastic! The cost is higher than what you may pay at Target or Marshall’s, but the quality and price is comparable to competitors like Lane Bryant’s Livi line. I like the selections thus far and that they have a lot of similar styles in plus and straight sizes, but I am eager to see it expand even further. The plus size line is fairly new and I hope to eventually see ALL items across the board in plus size options.

Have you tried Fabletics? What do you think?

Dorinda Outfit – Retail Value $104.90, VIP Price $49.95

I’ve mentioned before the struggle of shopping Fabletics for outfits at the $49.95 entry-level price point. Basically, the subscription already charges you $49.95 per month, but a large number of the outfits they present to you each month are priced above that level. That’s not horrible—you’re still getting a discount off the retail price and Fabletics products usually have the quality to back up the price. Still, $49.95 per month is already a decent amount for me to dedicate to activewear each month, so spending more seems a little strange. So I tend to pick simpler looks, just because they meet that $49.95 price point.

Check out the fall fitness looks in my October 2017 Fabletics order! Check out the fall fitness looks in my October 2017 Fabletics order!

The good news is that the look I picked this month features one of my favorite products from Fabletics—the Salar legging! These leggings are on the thicker side, have a comfy, soft feel, and feature a slightly higher rise that I find really flattering and secure. They’re 88% polyester, 12% elastane, so they have plenty of stretch, but they’re thick enough to make me feel like everything is being held in. Plus, how great is that teal color?!

Check out the fall fitness looks in my October 2017 Fabletics order! Check out the fall fitness looks in my October 2017 Fabletics order! Check out the fall fitness looks in my October 2017 Fabletics order!

The top was a little more simple, and the fit didn’t wow me. (It was cut a little too straight for my curvy body.) It’s a sheer 76% nylon, 24% elastane top with a mesh-like feel. It’s very breathable, so it’ll be great for a sweaty yoga class.

Verdict: The quality was on the mark for this month’s Fabletics, though I could’ve done with a bit more pizzazz in terms of style. As usual, I wish there were more options at the $49.95 “entry level” price, but I do just love the quality that I get from these pieces. These Salar leggings are my jam. They feel comfy and secure through every twist and turn of my yoga class, and every burpee of my Sunday boot camp class.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Sign up here to nab this look in your size, or browse other styles.

Value Breakdown: This outfit cost $49.95 + free shipping. The original, non-VIP price is $104.90, meaning I got a savings of about 52%.

Alma Two Piece Set (includes Luana Midid Sports Bra and Brogan Mesh Legging) in size 3x. Retail price $124.90, VIP member price $69.95, and $34.97 for new VIP member 1st outfit.

So, last month I played it safe with a black ensemble. This month, the temptation was too strong for a flashier outfit. I could not deny the charms of this eggplant, burgundy, and pale pink workout wear. I really like the contrast of the shinier spandex next to the more matte fabric.

Luana Midi Sports Bra, size 3x – Regular price $44.95, VIP $34.95, first time VIP price $17.47.

I like this midi cut. On me, it fits more like a crop top than the model featured on the Fabletics site. I love the support that this sports bra provides sans underwire,  but I always have the worst time getting it on. Mainly because it always seems like I have the cup reversed because it isn’t directly sewn into the min part of the sports bra. I had to have my photographer (aka my cousin) help me with getting the bra on right; that was pretty comical.

Brogan Mesh Legging, size 3x – Retail $79.95, VIP member cost $49.95, and first time VIP cost $24.97.

I was initially unsure about selecting these leggings because they are so eccentric. Then I remembered that I am as well and added these to my cart. The leggings have a high waist rise and the fabric has excellent stretch. These workout pants hug my body and its curves incredibly well. I feel confident I won’t flop out of these while working out at the gym. And on a vanity level, I love this color combo; this deep berry set is gorgeous! I give these leggings TWO THUMBS UP!

Verdict: I am still really enjoying Fabletics! At the cost of $69.95, that is less than the retail price of the leggings alone at $79.95— that is a heck of a deal! I always look forward to each month’s brand new selections to choose from. More retailers are realizing that plus size women want work out gear and we want items that are on trend and well made. I appreciate that Fabletics offers pieces that are high quality and comparable to competitors like Lane Bryant’s workout lines. My only gripe continues to be that the plus line is not as broad as the straight sizes, but I will cut Fabletics some slack since they are fairly new to having a plus size line.

Do you love Fabletics too?

I opted for a more basic set this month that is a bit less flashy than last month’s choice. I love both sets, but this one is far more versatile. I love the length of the top I selected this month. In the first picture, I show it tucked in, but I also opt to model it untucked as well down below.  The fabric of the top is thick and structured, yet is very airy. This will be great to wear for cardio workouts because I won’t have to worry about being overheated or my top needing to be pulled down. The short sleeves are a new and exciting thing for me since most of my reviews have been sleeveless items.

Fabletics Plus Size November 2017

I like the heather grey shade of this top and the ultra-cute sweetheart neckline detail. This adds a stylish touch to an incredibly relaxed style and fit.

Fabletics Plus Size November 2017

The leggings have a great high waist which I universally love for all pants. I also like that this is a basic pair of leggings that I can wear to the gym, but also sport them out and about for errands. I am pressed for time often, so these are fantastic for my on-the-go lifestyle. They also are incredibly comfortable!

Fabletics Plus Size November 2017

Fabletics Plus Size November 2017

The pants in my last month’s set were adorable, but a wee bit sheer in the butt. These are definitely thick enough to not be transparent. The stretch allows for lots of mobility as well.

Verdict: My love for Fabletics is still going strong. This set was $49.95 is a great value at $50 less than the non-VIP price. I am consistently impressed by the quality of Fabletics pieces. The cost is comparable to their competitors like Lane Bryant. The set I selected this month is far less flashy than some sets I have chosen in the past, but this may be one of my favorite outfits since it is tremendously comfortable. I am glad to see companies and retailers like Fabletics and Target (with their size inclusive Champion line) finally realizing that the market for plus size women is in demand and has been long neglected. We work out and we like having quality, trendy work out gear like our thinner peers! Keep it up!

Fabletics VIP Membership Subscription Review – November 2017

What did we get in our November 2017 Fabletics order?

Here are the items in our November 2017 Fabletics order in the package

Misha Puffer Jacket, Size Large – Retail Value $94.95, VIP Price $64.95

Surprised to see a jacket? I know—I’m usually a top-and-leggings gal, but as it’s getting colder and colder outside, this puffer jacket immediately caught my eye. Did you know Fabletics does outerwear? It’s usually not as heavy-duty as this look, but they do occasionally do cold-weather gear (jackets, wraps, cardigans, etc.).

I did check out a few other outfit options before I 100% decided on this jacket. My usual gripe with Fabletics is that there aren’t a ton of looks that match the $49.95 you pay each month for your membership. In other words, you often have to pay $10+ more than you’re already paying each month to start tapping into the really standout styles. Don’t get me wrong—the $49.95 outfits are usually fantastic quality and feature the same fun colors and patterns that run through that month’s collection. The cuts just end up feeling a bit ordinary, in my opinion, as was the case for this month’s crop of baseline-priced looks.

A few tens-of-dollars more, however, and you get cool cutouts, mesh details, pops of metallic—the kind of workout clothes that make you feel like a superhero at the gym. It also opens up the possibility of nabbing out-of-the-ordinary items… like this jacket!

This purple puffer jacket from Fabletics has a zippered pocket on the sleeve.

I loved the warm eggplant hue of this look—it’s something I don’t have in my closet of neutrals (meaning black, black, and more black), but it still feels like a color I would still like to wear next year and the year after that. It’s all polyester, which I like (down jackets aren’t my bag), plus the fabric is supposedly water resistant. It’s nice and warm, especially given the high collar. And all of the pockets have zippers (including the one in the sleeve) to make sure my keys/cards/phone don’t flop out if I’m wearing this on a brisk walk or outside playing with the kiddos in my family.

One thing to note—I usually order size medium for Fabletics tops (I’m usually a 6-8 in shirts and dresses), but I went for a large this time around. The fit is pretty tailored, so I’m glad I did. If you’re planning to wear this on cold-weather runs and want something more streamlined, your usual size should do the trick. Since I’ll be using it mostly as a regular jacket to wear on walks (especially the chilly trek from the gym/studio to my car and back) and errands, I decided to go for a size larger. I think it’ll accommodate any other layers I pop on underneath it (sweatshirts, hoodies, etc.).

Verdict: I’m really happy with this out-of-the-ordinary Fabletics pick! I adore their leggings and tops, but this jacket is going to be just as essential as my in-the-studio gear as the weather gets colder. I do wish it was a little closer to the baseline $49.95 VIP membership cost, but at least the quality feels like it holds up to the price paid.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Sign up here to nab this look in your size (it comes in black, too!), or browse other styles.

Value Breakdown: This jacket costs $64.95 + free shipping. The original, non-VIP price is $94.95, meaning I got a savings of about 32%.

fabletics outfit for december 2017

Minny Outfit (Charlee Pullover Hoodie, Size Medium, Salar Solid Powerhold Capri, Size Large) – Retail Value $119.90, VIP Price $69.95

I’m so into the pale pink pieces in the December Fabletics collection! I know, trend-wise, millennial pink is already getting tired (and I’m personally very excited for the millennial teal takeover that’s been foretold…), but what can I say? It’s still high on my list of favorite colors. And as someone who doesn’t wear a ton of color as it is, I’ve found this powdery pink hue to be a fresh way to break up all the gray, black, and denim that makes up the majority of my wardrobe.

bell sleeves pink sweatshirt on model

It was easy to say yes to this combo of a pullover and black leggings, especially given the fun bell sleeves on the hoodie! They’re not really bells as much as they’re the equivalent of wide-leg pant legs in sleeve form. Ha! By that I mean they don’t have a flare about them like the bottom of a bell—rather they just… get wider. You can see in the top picture what I mean. And you can see in the photo just above how much fun I’m having with them.

back of pink hoodie on model model wearing pink hoodie with hood up

The inside of this cotton-poly pullover has that dreamy, ultra-soft new-sweatshirt fleece-iness about it, while the outside has a smooth knit finish. The hood is what I’m most impressed with, though. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I have countless experiences getting hoodies with just the saddest excuses for hoods. Scrawny, flimsy hoods that barely stay on my head (especially if I have a ponytail in). To me, the ideal hood is big, voluminous, covers my head (a no-brainer), and just feels… cozy. Folks, this hood checks all the boxes! It’s definitely big (I did feel a bit like a little fitness elf in it), but the drawstring lets you scrunch it down to a comfortable position. Or if you’re like me, you just leave it huge and love it!

black cropped salar leggings from fabletics

The only thing I’d change about the leggings is that they’re cropped, which is just a thing I’m not the biggest fan of. I can’t really say why. It’s just never been my thing, y’know? Luckily, I’m only 5′ 3″, so the crop doesn’t come across as too… croppy. Salar leggings are one of my favorite styles from Fabletics—they’re a poly/elastane blend that’s thick and supportive without being restrictive, and they have a delightfully smooth finish. Black may not be the most exciting color (and Fabletics has a ton of bright bold patterns and hues to choose from), but they’re the perfect staple to keep in my workout clothes drawer.

Verdict: I love the fit and the out-of-the-ordinary style of this month’s Fabletics outfit! I’m a little bummed that this outfit was $20.00 more than the $49.95 membership I pay each month, meaning I have to pony up more than I’ve already committed to get a look I really love. I’ve found that there are always looks priced at $49.95, but they tend to be suuuuper basic. Most of the looks that are more distinctive (in other words, the looks that make me want to keep buying from Fabletics), end up being at least $59.95 or more. But I’ve gotta say, the quality of the pieces and the unique styles are definitely worth the price.

Fabletics included this $100 Wine Voucher for Nakedwines.com. This would be great for the holidays, but even Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day!

This Hello Fresh coupon was also included in my order. Every time I get one of these coupons I am tempted due to the reviews for Hello Fresh by Jess and Anna!

Wesley Outfit (includes Bluebell Midi Sports Bra and Salar Printed Powerhold Leggings) in Size 3x. Retail Value $129.90, VIP $59.95, and $29.97 for brand new VIP member 1st outfit.

I am a sucker for animal prints, so when I saw these monochromatic blue zebra print leggings I had to have them! I also am a fan of sleeveless mock turtlenecks, so I did not feel compelled to swap out the top in this set. I also like that I could easily wear the top with any of my other leggings from my past reviews! That is more outfit combos which means more bang for my buck!

I also love the zipper option, though I suggest just putting the top on first and then adjusting the zipper. I tried to unzip the top and then put it on and zip it up. It was dang near impossible trying to zip over my chest that way. So, big busted ladies out there, heed my advice on this one! The struggle is real!

This particular sports bra is midi length and on me fits like an actual top more so than a sports bra. I like the see-through mesh detail on the back at the waist as well. I am happy that the length is longer than it is on the model on the site too because I won’t have to worry about pulling this down while working out.

These pants, have I mentioned how much I love them? The Salar leggings by Fabletics are consistently my favorite due to their great structure, high waist, and awesome fit. This print may be my favorite of the pairs I have from Fabletics. The print reminds me of old Zubaz! If you had Zubaz and a Starter jacket in the 90s, you were the coolest. I was not the coolest and didn’t have Zubaz (we were a Skidz household), so I guess I am making up for lost time with these awesome leggings! Better late than never, right?

The fit of these leggings is wonderful. There isn’t a lot of gapping and I should not be chaffed working out in them. Big thumbs up!

Excuse my chipped toenail polish. Just focus in on the awesomeness that is this blue zebra print. I have been saying for years there is a lack of zebra and tiger print items. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE FINALLY BEEN HEARD!

Verdict: My love affair continues with Fabletics. I get excited each month to see the new featured outfits and styles, and this design is my favorite yet. That says a lot since I have loved every outfit from them I have received so far. The quality for the VIP price can’t be beaten. I am pleased that Fabletics and other retailers like Target, Lane Bryant, and Torrid realize that the market for plus size workout gear is an untapped one that deserves to be catered to! I am excited to see what they will have in the new year as well!

Fabletics VIP Membership January 2018 Review

fabletics outfit for january 2018

Rhiannon Two-Piece Outfit, Size Medium Top, Size Large Bottoms – Retail Value $124.90, VIP Price $59.95

There are so many fun spring colors in the current Fabletics catalog, but I went with a relatively neutral pick. There’s a community adult beginner’s ballet class hosted near my apartment, and I’m eager to sign up and give it a shot. If I do, this would be the perfect outfit—the class is okay with students skipping out on the usual tights and leotard, as long as the clothing you wear is form-fitting. I’ve been dragging my feet about signing up, but getting this outfit in the mail was a nice kick to do so!

fabletics ivory top fabletics top detail racerback fabletics top

I thought the form-fitting ivory top looked pretty on the model, and I’m happy that it seems equally flattering to me. The mesh panel in the front feels very “dancer”, as does the sweetheart peekaboo neckline. It’s very modern and cool but still sort of romantic and feminine. There’s a lightly padded bra and band built right into this top, too, so I don’t have to worry about finding a bra to suit its unique silhouette. Now, I’m not a huge fan of the mesh panel in the back of the top, as it lands right where my natural waist is and thus, bunches up quite a bit. That said, on a longer torso, it could look really elegant. Oh, and I love the feeling of this fabric. The website calls it “Performance Jersey”—it’s really lightweight and feels almost like a super smooth, stretchy t-shirt, except this top is wicking!

black fabletics leggings

The other awesome part about this outfit? The leggings. I’ve mentioned before how much I love the Fabletics Salar line of leggings. I feel like they complement my body’s shape really well so that they’re equal parts comfortable and secure. (I never feel like they’re about to roll down my stomach or sink down my backside during a yoga class or high-intensity, body-moving-in-all-kinds-of-crazy-directions workout class.) These are the Salar “Powerhold” leggings, which are a bit thinner than Salar styles I’ve ordered previously, but not in a way that they felt flimsy at all. Made of nylon, polyester, and elastane, they’ve got a lot of stretch and a delightfully smooth feel. The waistline is also high enough that I feel nicely packed into these leggings. Plus, they’re solid black, meaning I could weasel them into some casual outfits if I wanted.

Verdict: I’m really happy with this month’s outfit! It was $10.00 over the baseline $49.95 deposit you put down each month for membership, but as usual, I think the quality holds up to the price. Both pieces fit really nicely, yet I didn’t feel restricted in either one—perfect for the ballet class I’m hoping to take! I would’ve loved the top to come in one of the beautiful lilacs or even orange shades that were featured in many of the other available outfits this month, but for my purposes, the neutral palate is A-OK.

So, this month I figured I would opt to go against my normal leggings with sports bra combo. I found this athletic, sleeveless, hooded dress in heather grey on the site on sale! It makes my heart happy to find a great deal. The fabric is an incredibly soft sweatshirt material. It would be a great dress to wear for post work out or even power walking around outside in the spring months.

Yukon Sleeveless Dress modeled with hands in both pockets

As you can see this piece has a hood and kangaroo pockets. This casual dress is the perfect marriage of a hooded sweatshirt and a sleeveless dress. I want to wear this ensemble out with my faux leather biker jacket for my weekend errand running. I am all for socially acceptable pajama-like ensembles these days.

Here is the detail of the hood and the adjustable drawstrings for tightening the hood. Serving prizefighter realness here, am I right?

Here is another detail on the pockets as well. I mean, you can’t go wrong with pockets on a dress, am I right? I will be storing my phone and Larabars in there, for sure!

Yukon Sleeveless Dress modeled back

I was concerned initially that my bodacious posterior may make this dress significantly shorter, but fortunately, it gives my back end full coverage. Hallelujah! I won’t have to worry about anything hanging out. Phew! I am excited also because this dress is modest enough in length that I could forgo wearing leggings in the early summer months.

High-Waisted Solid Powerhold 7/8 Leggings modeled back

High-Waisted Solid Powerhold 7/8 Leggings, Size 3x — Retail Value $54.95, VIP Price $39.95

Fabletics leggings are my favorite; they are so dang comfy! I have a few pairs of black leggings from them in different styles and lengths I reviewed previously, but this pair is unique in that they aren’t cropped or have a cutout design. These are very standard, classic leggings. I usually select high waist options in all pants, but especially in workout pants because it is absolutely heinous to repeatedly have to readjust myself. I don’t want to have to pull up my pants Urkel style! These leggings fit like an absolute dream due to the ample stretch. Also, they are incredibly opaque, so there will be no issue of your gotchies being seen through the fabric. The material is rather thick but immensely comfortable. Just an FYI: I plan on living in these leggings until the summertime, so don’t judge me, guys!

Verdict: I am constantly impressed by the quality of the Fabletics pieces I receive each month. This month’s selections were far more toned down than last month’s, but I still love the style of this ensemble. Also, this outfit is ridiculously comfortable. I will get a lot of wear with this ensemble in and out of the gym. My only complaint regarding Fabletics is that I would like for them to have as broad of a selection in plus size pieces as they do their straight sizes. Each month, it seems to improve more and more, but I would love to see every piece to be inclusive for all sizes across the board.

two packages from fabletics

Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

fabletics february 2018 outfit

Quinci Outfit, Size Medium Top and Bra, Size Large Bottoms – Retail Value $134.85, VIP Price $69.95

Usually, I just take the outfits I order at face-value. This month, I did a little customizing! I loved the idea of getting a pair of joggers—I’d been thinking of buying some for myself, so why not get a really nice pair via Fabletics? The thing is, the pair featured in the Quinci outfit are sort of a peachy coral-pink color. Cute, but not the most versatile in my wardrobe. Luckily, I noticed that there was a gray version available, and thanks to the flexibility of the Fabletics membership, I was able to swap my color! I actually swapped the color of the bra, too, from a pale petal color to a more lilac tone that I liked just a little more.

gray joggers

pocket detail on joggers

Here are the pants! Again, not the most flattering, but definitely comfortable and easy to throw on after a sweaty class. They’re French terry pants made from a soft, easy-going poly-cotton blend. They’re cozy, not to heavy, and just a little bit fuzzy. I like the subtle heathered texture, too. The best part about these pants is that they’re dripping in pockets. There are two front pockets trimmed in white piping, a zippered pocket sort of tucked inside the right front pocket, and another zippered pocket on the back. At least on me, the silhouette gets pretty wonky looking when I stuff anything in the pocket aside from a few folded up bills, so I might not be stowing big keychains, etc. in the back one, in particular (the fabric is lightweight enough that it doesn’t hide much). But they’re still handy to have in a pinch!

pink sports bra

back of pink sports bra

I did a great job of not standing up very straight in these next two pictures, haha! Hey, I was just so relaxed in these comfortable, loungey looks!

This bra is made with seamless, all-way-stretch fabric that’s both wicking and incredibly easy to wear. It’s the kind of thing you could plop on the couch and nap in and not feel poked or restricted in any way. I like that the bra has a wideness to it, which makes me feel more held-in. It’s more the thing I could see wearing to a yoga or dance class—it moves with my body in a nice way.

My only gripe is that the cups feel a little stuffy. I think since the rest of the look is so flexible and comfortable, the cups seem a bit out of place. Depending on where I wear it to, I might just pop ’em out.

white tank

twist back tank

pocket detail on white tank

Finally, there’s a white, open-back top to throw over the look. Sometimes open-back tops can get a little slouchy in the front, but this one seems to hold its crew-neck vibe. Overall, I feel like the top would look better on someone with a longer torso so that it would lay a bit better around the hips, but I’m still really excited to use this after workouts or even worn out to warm-weather brunch!

Verdict: So it’s not the sleekest most flattering outfit on me, but these ultra-comfortable, easy-to-wear clothes are going to get a workout every lazy weekend morning! This three-piece look was $20.00 over the baseline $49.95 deposit you put down each month for membership, and I do wish that more looks (there are some, but they’re more basic) were priced closer to that initial deposit amount so that I wouldn’t be spending more on top of what I’ve already committed to. But the quality holds up to the price, in my opinion. The leggings and bras I’ve gotten in the past have worn and washed beautifully, and especially the simpler, solid-color pieces I’ve gotten have become regulars (in both workout looks and everyday athleisure outfits) for me. I’m excited to get lots of wear out of these comfy basics, and I can’t wait to style the backless top into day-to-day outfits as the weather gets warmer!

A service like this is great for stocking up wines as gifts for dinner parties or the holidays. I know a person that has a closet of wine and candles to present as gifts in case they don’t have time to go shopping. That is some high level, gold star adult wizardry as far as I am concerned.

Hadlee Outfit with Antonia Midi Sports Bra and Salar Mesh Powerhold Capri (currently out of stock), Size 3x – Retail Value $129.90, VIP $59.95, $29.97 for VIP member 1st outfit.

This month I decided to get a set instead of mixing and matching like I did for last month’s review. I love various shades of green, especially chartreuses and olive greens; so I was immediately attracted to this set! Apparently, I wasn’t the only one because it seems as though the capri leggings to this set are sold out on the site!

Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 2

Both the sports bra and leggings have pale beige mesh accent stripes to accent and break up the olive green on the set. This set has an ultra-athletic, but chic look.

Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 3 Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 4

This month’s top doesn’t offer the coverage of my last two selections, but I still appreciate this sports bra like my past selections. The cups fit me immensely well and did not need any readjusting, but I have not worked out in this bra to see how well they keep the sisters in place.

Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 5

This set is a tad more risqué due to the nude mesh detail. It is simultaneously one of my favorite details, but also one that I dislike since it is incredibly transparent due to the mesh being such a light shade. I doubt anyone will see much of my chest through the sports bra, but as you can see… my undies are seen through the pants’ mesh. I didn’t realize this till I started editing pictures. WHOOPS!

Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 6

Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 7

I do appreciate the thinner mesh lines, though. To me, they are far more aesthetically pleasing. Often, I see chunks of mesh on the pants on the calves and front of the leggings, so this is a subtler detail I prefer. I like to call it the Sporty Lite look.

Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 8

Fabletics Plus Size February 2018 Outfit 9

The leggings fit great, which is what I come to expect from Fabletics. These like all styles I select by them have a high waist. I refuse to wear anything but high waist pants because of the security they provide in holding me in. If I am on the elliptical at the gym, the least of what I want to worry about is pulling up my pants. I rarely have to readjust myself in Fabletics leggings, so HALLELU to that! I have essentially lived in my plain black leggings this entire winter—that is how comfortable they are! I actually wore them recently on a trip to see my boyfriend as well. They are great at the gym, running errands at the mall, or for a four-hour car ride.

Verdict: Have I mentioned that I love Fabletics? I was at brunch with an out of town friend recently singing the praise of my Fabletics leggings. The style of this particular pair is fantastic because how often do you see an olive green active wear item that isn’t incorporated into a camo design? I get excited month after month to peruse the gallery for their new, unique designs. I would say they are a great alternative to a brand like Lululemon, but I have no frame of reference since the brand only goes to size fourteen and their pants alone cost as much as two outfits from Fabletics. This speaks to what a value Fabletics provides. I appreciate how inclusive Fabletics is, but my one complaint is I want to see the brand to amp up their inclusivity further. I want to see all the options in straight sizes available in their plus line. Competitors like Lane Bryant and Torrid offer sizes that go up to 28 and even 6x (in the case of Torrid). Us bodacious babes actually do like to work out and want stylish activewear as well! It is like Field of Dreams, but in this case, if you make the clothing we will come… and throw our money at you! Otherwise, I love Fabletics and will continue to suggest them to my babely friends of all sizes!

Faye Outfit, Size Medium Top, Size Large Bottoms – Retail Value $124.90, VIP Price $69.95

When I was growing up, all I ever wore was blue. I think because my eyes are blue, and my parents thought, hey, why not complement ’em? Not a bad idea. But by college, I was like UGH! No more blue! It’s been awhile since I’ve found a blue look that really wowed me. But something about this bright cobalt look grabbed my attention. Am I coming back around to blue? Maybe. At the very least, I can say I’m smitten with this look!

blue midi bra top

back of blue midi bra

I’ve been seeing these “midi” style bras everywhere lately! Do you like ’em? I sure do. Something about them is very flattering to me, especially when paired with high-waisted leggings. I also like that, since they’re a little more like a shirt than a bra, I feel comfortable skipping out for a jog or heading to the gym without a t-shirt to wear over it. This one has a supportive bra lining inside its polyester/elastane performance jersey shell. The fabric is wicking, smooth, and soft, and the bra lining inside does a nice job of providing comfortable medium support.

blue leggings in march 2018 fabletics box

cutouts in blue leggings

Apart from the blue, these two pieces are unified by the cutout designs that appear on the leggings and the top. I feel like my shorter legs (I’m just 5′ 3″) aren’t the best for these cutouts, because they end up winking shut more often than they stay stretched open over my legs. The leggings themselves are awesome, though. They’re a version of the Salar style legging that I really love, so they’re high-waisted and feature Powerhold fabric, which has a sturdy, brushed-cotton feel and just enough thickness.

Verdict: I love this look! From the color to the sporty cut, this two-piece outfit feels right at home in my wardrobe. The top and leggings were priced at $20.00 over the baseline $49.95 deposit you put down each month for membership. As usual, I do wish that more looks (there are some, but they’re more basic) were priced closer to that initial deposit amount so that I wouldn’t be spending more on top of what I’ve already committed to. But I love the fit, especially when it comes to the leggings. I’ve noticed that Fabletics does have occasional sales so that members can get pieces for much less. I tend to order at the top of the month, rather than wait and use my credit later on, mostly because I want to ensure my sizes don’t sell out!

Fabletics-February-2017-info

My package this month included a code for a free Graze box!

Fabletics-February-2017-items1

This month I ordered the Paula Outfit (retail: $114.90, Fabletics VIP price: $59.95), which consists of the Karina High Support Sports Bra and the Layce Capri.

Fabletics-February-2017-items2

Karina High Support Sports Bra – Retail: $49.95, Fabletics VIP Price: $29.95

Fabletics just released their Bra Shop (and their Plus Size shop!) which I am really excited about because I know being able to search for bras by amount of support is a feature I’ve been wanting for a little while now.

I like this bra a lot! The coverage is perfect for me and it’s definitely supportive, though not hard to take on and off. I love the wide band as well. The original colors of this Paula set showed a black and white color variation of this bra, which was cute because it matched the leggings (of which there were no other color variations), but I chose this grey/black variation because the white was on the sides where the black is here, and I didn’t think it’d be cute at all to have WHITE right at my UNDERARMS. I plan to actually workout in this, and just knew that having white right there would look awful before too long.

Fabletics-February-2017-items3

Layce Capri – Retail: $64.95, Fabletics VIP price: $44.95

These capris are very comfortable and fit me well. The fabric has some compression to it and the back of the waistband has a zippered pocket with reflective lines above and below. Also good to know, I don’t have any issues at all with the black becoming see through as it stretches or anything – fantastic opacity.

Fabletics-February-2017-items4

On the back side, these capris have a white panel from the mid-thigh, down. At the top of the panel is a strip of reflective material.

Verdict: I mostly got this set because of the bra, and I’m really happy with it! It’s my favorite one I’ve received from Fabletics. As usual, everything fits great and I’m happy with the quality! I’m definitely happy with the value of what I received for $60.

fabletics-march-2017-items1

This month I ordered the Bredgade (retail: $84.90, Fabletics VIP price: $59.95), which consists of the Vienna Seamless Midi Bra and Musetta High-Waisted Seamless Leggings.

fabletics-march-2017-items2

Vienna Seamless Midi Bra – retail: $34.95, Fabletics VIP price: $24.95

This midi bra blurs the lines of sports bra and crop top. The neckline and back are very covered and has a wide, textured band. It offers pretty light support and has removable cups as well. The texture has tiny cut outs that are reminiscent of some kind of lace detailing. The details are really interesting and would make this a great fashion crop top as well!

fabletics-march-2017-items3

The small cut outs/mesh-esque texture continue onto the entire back. I like the coverage on the back, though it makes me feel like it would be more practical for fashion then working out just for the mobility and comfort.

fabletics-march-2017-items4

Musetta High-Waisted Seamless Tights – Retail: $49.95, Fabletics VIP price: $39.95

I’ve tried a different style of seamless tights from Fabletics and found them to be really comfortable so I wanted to try these, too. Plus I loved the small mesh-like texture (that matches the bra) on the bottom half of the legs. I like the way these feel on – they don’t really have much compression to them like the signature Salar leggings do, so I found them quite comfortable. They’re high-waisted, too, which I personally like. It’s flattering, and if you’re pregnant, these would probably work well if you’re not really far along!

The Verdict: I totally got this set mostly for the tights. I think I’ll get a lot of wear out of them – I may have to pass along the sports bra/crop top. As usual, everything fit great and I love the quality! I’m happy with the value and quality of what I received for $60.

Fabletics VIP Membership Subscription Review + BOGO Offer – May 2017

Check out what I got in my first-ever order from Fabletics!

I signed up for Fabletics to try out their “2 leggings for $24” deal. I do yoga at least 3 or 4 times a week, but my leggings game is pretty pitiful. Most of my leggings are just plain knit ones that have holes and are really stretched out by now. I’ve heard so many good things about Fabletics, from how well they fit to how well they perform. And this introductory deal is awesome, so I’m willing to give ’em a shot!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

It outlines all of the details about how the subscription works. I found the process a little hard to wrap my head around at first, so it’s nice to have this info handy.

Kate Hudson makes a great co-founder/spokesmodel, but our body types couldn’t be more different. I’m interested to see how these leggings look (and fit) on someone whose silhouette is a little less lean and straight. I usually wear around a size 10 in jeans, and I’m only 5’3″, so sometimes I need shorter-length sizes. For this subscription, I picked size large leggings in regular length (you can choose long, regular, or short). I figured I’d see what “regular” meant to Fabletics before picking something shorter.

As if they heard me thinking that, Fabletics popped a picture of people of different body types wearing their products on the next page of the booklet. Okay, okay, Fabletics, I’ll try to think more positively!

Brogan Mesh Leggings – VIP Price $49.95 (Retail Price $79.95)

So, when you sign up for the VIP membership, you get to hop in and choose which two leggings you want to receive with your offer. There are a ton of options in all different colors and patterns. I decided I’d go with one bold pair and one simpler pair. I’m super into the trend of leggings with mesh panels and details, but this is my first time trying them for myself. I love ’em! The angles and contrasting colors make me feel like a superhero. And the mesh panels are thick enough that they feel as sturdy as the rest of the leggings.

Check out what I got in my first-ever order from Fabletics!

The leggings are thicker material that hugged my body in a way that felt secure, yet not suffocating. I didn’t worry about sweating through these, nor did I feel like they were going to fall down (the waist is nice and wide, but not so forgiving that it felt like it was sliding around). I’m far from being the most athletic person, but these leggings make me feel like some kind of ultra-cool fitness warrior!

Salar Leggings in Monarch Print – VIP Price $49.95 (Retail Price $79.95)

This is my “simple” pair of leggings—yeah, the pattern is anything but ordinary, but the cut is one of the brand’s signature designs.

Check out what I got in my first-ever order from Fabletics!

These leggings were similarly thick and super comfortable. I’ve been burned by all-over print styles before—ones where the design fades when the fabric is stretched out. But the rich colors of this abstract butterfly pattern stayed bold and clear even as I pulled them up over my legs. Oh, and on that note—I was actually surprised by how nicely both of these leggings fit my body. I’m always worried that leggings won’t be able to handle my booty zone, but both of these styles were perfectly fitted (not restrictive or loose). There’s nothing worse than getting deep into a yoga pose and worrying that your leggings are stretching out or, alternatively, going to slide down. In these styles, I felt secure—I didn’t have to worry about wardrobe malfunctions, so I could focus more on my practice.

The Verdict: I was really impressed by Fabletics! They have an awesome product that fit like a dream and made me feel like a fitness queen. The 2 for $24 deal is fantastic, and definitely left me hooked. These two pairs have a retail value of $159.90, which makes this $24.00 package, uh, basically the sweetest deal ever. Now, starting next month, I’ll be charged the $49.95 membership fee if I don’t buy or choose to skip the month (and you do have to actively go in and choose the option to skip it, not just not buy anything). The VIP price for both of these leggings was $49.95, meaning I would only be able to nab one of these pairs per month. It’s a lot to pay almost $50.00 for leggings, but if I don’t nab more pairs than I need, and I put them to good use, I think they’re worth it. The quality of these leggings is so good that I feel like they’re an investment piece I can justify. I just need to remember to use that skip button now and then!

This month, I hopped into my account later than the beginning-of-the-month ordering period, just to see what would happen. Honestly, it was an easy-peasy process—I was still billed for the $49.95 price of the VIP membership, but that amount was saved as a credit on my account. I just went ahead and picked my favorite outfit for the month, then checked out. Long story short, ordering later in the month, past the set ordering period, doesn’t have any monetary consequences. The only thing you risk is whether the items you want will still be in stock in the size you need.

One thing I noticed—individual items are sometimes under $20.00, but the full outfits (which is what the subscription is specifically for) always start at $49.95. Also, there are only a handful of outfits that go for $49.95. A lot of the standout outfits (including the ones marked as being recommended for me) come in at $59.95 or even $69.95. For the quality I’ve experienced thus far, I don’t necessarily think those prices are off the mark, but I will say it’s a bit of a bummer when I’m setting aside a monthly $49.95 and I’m confronted with paying even more.

Lawson Top and Skirt – VIP Price $49.95 (Retail Price $84.90)

Here’s the outfit I picked this month. None of the workout clothes really spoke to me (at least, none of the ones that weren’t $69.95), so I decided to switch things up and pick an “athleisure” look to wear after a workout (or anytime) rather than something to wear during a workout.

See the cute athleisure clothes I got in my June 2017 Fabletics order!

I am wiiiiild about this skirt! Bottoms always make me nervous—they always look great on the website, featured on generally more slender models with straighter silhouettes, so I’m usually at least a little skeptical about whether the piece will look (and fit) just as nicely on a curvier, broader, shorter body. But Fabletics crushed it! This skirt is a size large (I usually wear a large or about a size 10 in jeans and pants), and fit me perfectly through the hips and just slightly loose through the waist. It’s so comfortable—the fabric feels like my cuddliest sweatshirt—and hallelujah, hallelujah, it has POCKETS! The zipper details are cute, too. Especially in the summer, my least favorite thing is to have to drag jeans or even shorts up over my sweaty, post-workout body. This skirt is perfect for that occasion, but it’s also cute enough to wear it literally anywhere. I can’t wait to show this skirt off!

See the cute athleisure clothes I got in my June 2017 Fabletics order! See the cute athleisure clothes I got in my June 2017 Fabletics order!

The top that came in the outfit is pretty cool, too. It has more of a vanilla color to it—I thought it was more pure cloud white when I saw it online—but it’s really pretty and versatile nonetheless. The fabric is a bit stretchy and has some bounce to it, and it’s thicker fabric than I thought it’d be. It could totally pass for a nicer everyday blouse at a department store. I tucked it in, just to maintain that hourglass shape I prefer, but the top is actually pretty long. It extends down to just about where the bottoms of the pocket openings are, so I’d call it tunic length. The back is low, so there are some bra negotiations that need to be made. I tried it on with a really basic ivory bra, thinking the back strap wouldn’t show, but in the future, I’ll either pick a bra built for a low or backless look, or go the other direction and find a more statement-making piece (maybe a neutral sports bra with a cool patterned band).

Verdict: Fabletics continues to wow me. The process is easier than I expected, and the pieces look and more importantly fit like a dream. The quality is awesome—the pieces I got this month could easily pass in nicer everyday outfits as well as workout ensembles, and things I’ve got in past orders have washed really beautifully. I do wish there had been more looks on the monthly “menu” that fell at the $49.95 price point that you’re already paying for the subscription, but as for what I did end up with, I am absolutely smitten.

So, last month, I mentioned how a lot of the recommended looks for me (and just a lot of the outfits in general) were above the $49.95 monthly value of the subscription. This month, the situation was the same, and so many of the outfits that were $49.95 were super similar to pieces I already have. They also were doing a lot of weird stuff with cutout details that weren’t quite my style. Bummer!

McKenna Top and Leggings – VIP Price $59.95 (Retail Price $109.90)

The outfit I ended up going with was a top and leggings with a value of $59.95. That’s almost half the usual cost of the pieces, so it’s still a pretty good deal. I really loved the idea of this tee, which has a unique open front to it. Probably 90% of the bottoms I own (be they jeans, shorts, or leggings) are high waisted, and I’m excited to see how this top complements that kind of silhouette. It’s kind of a more sophisticated crop top. The top seems like something I could mix into non-workout outfits pretty seamlessly.

The leggings are really cute, too. I’ve been loving the palm print trend that’s been happening this summer (as you’ll be able to tell from my sneakers in the photos below, hehe), but I do worry that by next summer (or, really, this fall) those loud patterns might feel kind of passe. So I like that these leggings feature the palm print but in a more versatile silvery-gray palette. The lighter gray has a hint of icy blue to it, and the deeper silver has an almost lavender tone in certain light. They are capris, which aren’t my fave, but they’re so high quality that there’s no way I won’t use ’em a ton.

Let’s see how they look on me…

See the cute workout clothes I got in my July 2017 Fabletics order!

Ta-da!

See the cute workout clothes I got in my July 2017 Fabletics order!

Love your belly button? This is the look for you! The way the panels of the top lay, my belly button is perfectly framed and on full display. I was in awkward adolescent phase during the whole Britney Spears midriff era, so maybe this is the time my humble tummy finally gets to shine… (Or it’s just time for me to wear this top with very high-waisted bottoms, hehe!)

See the cute workout clothes I got in my July 2017 Fabletics order!

I’m really into how nicely this top fits, and how neatly the overlapping sides lay across my chest. I can tell it’s well designed and thoughtfully made. I’m a 36B—I wonder if this look would fit the same way on someone with a larger bust, or if it would unintentionally fit a bit more like a crop top. If anyone’s tried this look in a larger size (I’m wearing a medium here), or a smaller one for that matter, definitely let me know what your experience was!

See the cute workout clothes I got in my July 2017 Fabletics order! See the cute workout clothes I got in my July 2017 Fabletics order!

I love how Fabletics leggings fit, too. They’re so thick, smooth, and roomy where they need to be—I never feel like they’re being overstretched or like they’re slipping down unintentionally.

Verdict: Fabletics rules! I love the items I got this month—both pieces are a little outside of my comfort zone, but I’m so delighted by how they look and fit. These are more expensive pieces, especially since most of my current workout wardrobe is from the clearance aisle at Marshalls…), but the quality is top-notch. So far, Fabletics is proving very worth it!

Penelope 2-Piece Outfit – VIP Price $49.95 (Retail Price $129.90)

Here’s what I picked for this month! The outfit was called “Penelope”, and was one of the $49.95 choices on this month’s list. This wasn’t one of the “My Pick” items that Fabletics recommends you at the top of the selection page—those outfits were pretty cute, but this outfit just seemed more “me”. If there’s one thing I like about Fabletics, it’s how many choices they give you to pick from each month. There’s always a lot of variety, and I’ve never felt “stuck” with a look I didn’t like.

See the cute workout clothes I got in my August 2017 Fabletics review! See the cute workout clothes I got in my August 2017 Fabletics review! See the cute workout clothes I got in my August 2017 Fabletics review!

I really liked the bra this month! The material on both it and the leggings is shiny and sleek, which feels crisp, modern, and cool. I love full-coverage bra tops like this—it’s what I prefer to wear to my yoga classes, as the coverage helps ensure nothing slips out of place during deep twists or inversions. (I also think they just look cool, hehe!) The bra is lightly padded and has mesh details to help with airflow.

See the cute workout clothes I got in my August 2017 Fabletics review! See the cute workout clothes I got in my August 2017 Fabletics review!

The leggings feature the same shiny fabric of the bra and offer some really cool mesh details, too. I love leggings that play with opacity in this way—they have a real superhero vibe to them, don’t you think?

The one thing that I have to mention here is that these leggings felt totally different than other Fabletics leggings I’ve received. On the whole, all of the Fabletics leggings I’ve gotten thus far are made with thick fabric that not only hugs your body beautifully but creates a smooth silhouette and stays perfectly in place. These leggings are surprisingly thin, given what I’ve seen thus far from the brand. They’re that kind of bathing-suit-ish material that if you hold them up to the light, they actually become a little translucent. When they’re on, they feel perfectly opaque, but I did feel like they lacked the oomph and comfort factor of other styles. They didn’t stay put as well as others I’ve tried, and there’s definitely a risk of VPL if you’re not careful. Will I still wear them and feel like a total rockstar while I do? Oh heck yes. But these aren’t my favorite from a functional perspective.

Verdict: I just really love Fabletics! I’m pleasantly surprised by the variety of styles and products they offer via the subscription, and I feel like what I get is well worth the cost. All of the products I’ve gotten previously are holding up great, workout after workout. And while I had some qualms with this month’s leggings, on the whole, I’m happy. I can forgive a little imperfection in an outfit that makes me want to get out there and show it off. (And anything that encourages me to be more active is OK by me!)  If next month, I end up with similarly so-so leggings, then I’ll be a little bit concerned. As for now, I’m still very happy about being a Fabletics member!

Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Callie Two Piece Set (includes Clara Sports Bra & Salar Capri) in size 3x – VIP Price $59.95 (New VIP member price: $24.95 + $4.95. Retail price $99.90)

When I first started sifting through the many leggings and work out ensembles in the plus size section, I wanted to make sure to not get my standard go to black pieces. I was drawn immediately to this neon palm print they had. The colors are a bit different than what they look like on the site. I was expecting it to be more of a bright Kelly green instead of the aqua shade it actually is in person. No complaints on that, I love the color combo either way, but they may want to show it in a more true to light photo.

Clara Sports Bra, size 3x – VIP Price $24.95 (retail price $34.95)

I was a bit concerned about getting a sports bra without wires, but the combination Polyester/Elastane fabric comfortably holds me in rather well and lends some support. The sports bra has built-in cups that can be removed also. The racer back has a neat mesh detail on it that adds a nice design detail. The top lays a slight bit longer on me than the model. I am not shy at all about crop tops and showing off my mid-drift, but I like the length for functionality purposes more so than fashion.

Salar Capri, size 3x – VIP Price: $44.95 (retail price $64.95)

I was a bit on edge thinking that the pants would not fit me. They looked so tiny when I pulled them out of the shipping plastic that I checked the tag twice thinking I was mistakenly sent a smaller size. As soon as I got them on, though, I found that they were incredibly stretchy and fit my body like a glove. The material is very smoothing as well. Like most pants and skirts I get, I selected the high waist option for these capris. They hit me just right and I don’t feel like they need to be adjusted or that they will roll down and expose my backside. I am really excited to try these out at the gym!

Verdict: I absolutely love Fabletics! The quality and design of these pieces are undeniable, but the true cherry on top is getting a workout outfit for $24 (plus $4.95 shipping)! That introductory outfit price is such an incredible value! I like that there are a lot of similar styles in both straight and plus size too because nothing frustrates me more than seeing something I like in a smaller size and not being able to get it. Us big girls want to throw our money your way too, for goodness sakes! This is only my first Fabletics outfit, but I am tremendously pleased and cannot wait to get a second outfit.

Have you tried Fabletics? What do you think?
